They use the same metalwork as the Peluso, which has a chickenwire screen
behind the capsule that tends to detach and become irretreivable scrunched
when changing the capsule. You can get a mike with the same metalwork as the
MXL604.
Bear in mind that, except for this interesting item:

the metalwork for these mikes comes out of Chinese factories where all the
others are made.
They provide more detailed graphs than other makers, which is promising.
