I wonder what the pitch algorithm was. I'm guessing a delay loop
between half-cycles with the computer's clock frequency not being high
enough to get enough divided-down frequencies to get nearer the
"right" pitch. I did something similar with a Kim-1 way back when and
got more accurate pitches than that.
Not sure if they were laughing at the pitch inaccuracy or what...
