Niles SVL- 4 for speaker selector?
Greetings Rappers,

I'm considering using this speaker selector, which was given to me, to
add another set of monitor speakers to my project studio. I'm
presently using Dynaudio BM6 through a Yamaha P2200 amp. Is anyone
familiar with this device, or care to comment based upon its specs,
how or to what degree it will degrade, or effect the clarity of my
monitoring signal path?

TIA, Michael Ortega

Not a good idea. Choose a selector switch which has no
attenuators/autotransformers. If speaker protection is provided, it should
be possible to disable. These features are not suitable for monitor
applications.

Nahh, put it up on Ebay. These things do not provide a constant source
impedance for the speakers.

You can just get a couple big 30A DPDT industrial switches with wiping contacts
from the local electrical supply house, and use them to switch between two
banks of speakers. It won't cost much. The problem with this approach is
that your speakers will have different sensitivity so the levels will change
when you switch. This can make comparison difficult.
