Recording Vocals with a Drawmer 1960
Is the Drawmer 1960 a good mic pre to record R&B/Soul vocals on? If
you had to pick between the Drawmer 1960 and the Avalon 737 which
would you go with?

Re: Recording Vocals with a Drawmer 1960
Most people would say that the 1960 is not really a vocal mic pre but
remember that there are no rules. The 1960 is a machine that some people
can't do without while others rate it as the being on the verge of terrible.
Personally I like it although I don't have it (but I do have the modified
and updated version called 1969).
I don't know the Avalon from personal experience but they certainly are a
popular choice in many studios.

Thank you for the feedback. I have been playing around with it for the
last few days and I would agree it...not a great vocal mic however i
like it for keyboards.
