Thanks!
Yep, occ is better.
A friend bought it from someone.
Will the color and thickness of the cotton be different
between them?

Possibly. But I suggest trying coathangers - they will sound the same
unless you live in a high rf environement, in which case screen them.
Plastic-coated metal ones are OK, but uninsulated are fine too. Avoid
plastic or wooden ones.

You can knit a nice woolen jacket for them, or have somebody whip up a
cotton one, but this will be less warm.

Thanks geoff!
You mean using the plastic tube of coathanger to tube
occ/cotton and non-occ/cotton will be the same sound quality?
Woolen jacket over the silver wire pre-wrapped with cotton?

Naturally insulating materials such as wool and cotton invariably outperfrom
synthetics. Would you wear lycra in winter for example ?

Something like that. Wet string is not so good though.

I don't know but the 'thickness' of the brain might be involved.
