 WTB: Sony ECM-510
I have a sony ECM-510 microphone and looking for an extra for backup
or extra. Anyone have one for sale, or know of where to buy one? New
or used.

Thanks
Mark

BSW should be able to get one for you. BCS Broadcast Store in LA should
too.

I'll say that if you had an EV 635A instead, you wouldn't need to keep a
backup. Output level is lower and the top end isn't there, but if you
are doing field interviews, sooner or later you're going to be in the kind
of place where you wish you had a 635A.

I enjoy the ecm-510 because of how discrete it is. I do a lot of
weddings and similar events. The sony i find is the best looking with
the nicest sound. I have thought of regular podium microphones but
havent found any with the same quality sound.

If you're looking for a small omni that you can hide in the scenery,
why not a Countryman lav mike? Or for a little more money, the DPA lav?
They will do quite well on a lectern although being omnis they will pick up
a lot more than just the person speaking (just like the 510).
