who's heard the lavry blue series mic preamp? it's a great price
point- $2400 for 4 channels and supposed to be transparent. How does
it compare to millennia hv3 or the original great river (my only
benchmarks)? $400 more gets you a john hardy 4 channel. how much
diminishing returns are we talking here? probably no remote work-
just home stuff so rf interference won't be a huge deal. in this
price range they're all just different levels of excellent, right? I
have 2 channels of hv3 now and i love it but i need more channels and
i'm trying to get bang for the buck without compromising the quality
i'm used to. I need to be budget conscious because I'm also spending
on new monitors and room treatments. i figure I can keep my
millennia, get a 4 channel unit of something else and an rnp and i'll
have 8 channels, mostly great, some good and two good di's. but the 4
channel millennia is 3 grand, and the difference between it and the
lavry is enough for some serious bass trapping!

so i guess my main question is, how does to lavry compare to the
others and is it worth checking out or should i save for the hardy or
millennia multichannels?
