It's just that the chat website interface chat links (listed above by
"sw") are temporarily 'down' (bummer). Here's the scoop in the meantime
for IRC clients:
Server: irc.penguinpowered.ca __OR__
Server: irc2.penguinpowered.ca
Port: 6667
Channel: #rec.food.cooking

No, the server isn't down. We have about 11 people in there now....
But you have to use another way to get there..

oh, the WEB one is down..but not the server itself. So use the link I
posted just now..

Blake says that someone is working on the servers now.
However, he just gave us another link:
http://www.web-irc.org/
Where it says server, put: irc2.penguinpowered.ca and port 6667 for
the port.
Then, channel #rec.food.cooking.
