 Very OT: Usenet Problems w/Cox
Any other Cox users having problems accessing Usenet? I can't access
anything since early afternoon.

I just heard yesterday Wayne, that Cox is one of the ISPs that is
getting rid of Usenet. Along with about 18 others. That is probably
why.

So glad I use the German server..which is independant of any ISP.

Thanks, Christine. I have not heard this, nor has Cox made any
announcements to subscribers. Of course, that's not to say they
aren't doing this. Actually, I'm getting an error message about
exceeding connections. I had been accessing Usetnet most of the
morning and early afternoon, then suddenly got the error message.
This has happened before, but not recently. I'll have to look further
into it.

I use Cox, and haven't had a problem recently, but I have in the past. It
usually lasts a day or two, then goes back to normal.

There are rumors of Cox getting rid of Usenet, but (though they do outsource
it), they deny this when asked.
